June 17, 2008 (A Very Good Day - Part 2)

The second reason I wanted to get up early was because my uncle, who is visiting from Mexico, wanted to go to Three Rivers. Three Rivers is located about 20 miles from the city but takes a while to get there since its up in the mountains. Here's a picture:
The drive up the mountains isn't bad at all since the turns aren't that crazy, as a matter of fact you are driving an easy 45mph up the mountain, if not faster. Here's a picture going up, you can see how you they carved the mountain to make way for the road. (well at least it
seems so that way but I'm not sure so I might be wrong)
Here's a view from from one end of the lake.
This signs are common all along the road to and from the mountains.Well after not to long we arrived at our destination and we swam here but only at the safe area.
As you can notice there'ss a road visible to my left (your right) in the picture. That road goes far but since the water level is high right now its not accessible. Well I always use the yellow divider line and the red border ling as a safety so to not go to far into the river. The water level is high so this doesn't look like a river, its more like a lake. No? Heading down the mountain I took this two very interesting pictures, one of a restroom emerged in water and the other of a floating gasoline station for boats which I have never, until now, seen in my life. I found it very cool and odd at the same time.Gas anyone?
After that we went to Burger King and got something to eat and then headed home. Shortly after that I went to work hoping the Lakers would win so I could work some extra hours on Thursdays but they fell behind more then 30 points and lost. Didn't get home till 10pm and thats how that day went for me.
